The logo says it all ... We love dogs, I wear Big Dog t-shirts, we have two creeks on the property, and we are all getting older and little more creeky with each passing day
The peaceful and serene recording cabin, on acreage, in the woods near Battle Ground, Washington. Environment makes a difference in whatever you do!
Started taking organ lessons in 1965 at a furniture store in California where we lived at the time, and purchased our first Lowrey organ. Continued lessons from Gary Russell in Portland, former organist at The Organ Grinder, Oaks Park Roller Rink, and Gresham Skate World. Wonderful teacher.
Started playing in bands and getting my chops up and ready for the 'big time' ... playing to a roaring crowd of over 3,000 people at the 10th anniversary of Elvis' death - we did a show with Clay Smith in August of 1987 at the Red Lion Inn at the Quay in Vancouver.
My good friend and band partner to be, Lyle Bame, and I, started out as just two of us playing together as a duo, and eventually had 7 people in the band, and then back down to the two of us, playing country music for many years doing casual gigs with a large following of people. A famous actors' mother used to dance to our music at the Gateway Elks Lodge in Portland. This is my cowboy outfit when I was 2.
Focusing on recording local singer/songwriters, I started out recording albums for many people from our own church, and then in 2000 I built my own studio on our current property. This led to producing and recording more albums for local singer/songwriters in conjunction with mass distribution utilizing DiscMakers and such outlets as CDBaby. After retiring from my day job in 2013, I now have much more time to focus on other endeavors in the studio including continuing to write and record my own music, and concentrating on VoiceOver work.
